{spinning floppy} My Summer Job '99{spinning floppy}

This page's title is somewhat misleading and should be renamed "Summer Jobs '99". Why you ask? Because during the Summer of 1999, I worked for three different companies doing three very distinct jobs. Thus, this page is dedicated to explaining more about where I worked and what I did:

1. A Bank: This was my first job of the summer. It was a short assignment at a Customer Service Center of a Bank. I filled in for a few people who were on vacation. My only duties were to key their voice mail messages into a messaging system and distribute them to the customer service representatives on duty.

2. An Insurance Company: After leaving my first job at the Bank, I did another short assignment for an Insurance company. My responsibilities included sorting and distributing incoming faxes/requests for appraisals and police reports, faxing out documents, sending out cheques for closed claims, purging files, filing, drop filing documents, photocopying forms and closed files for special investigations and locating closed files for auditing.

3. A Popular Soft Drink Company: This was my last and favourite job. I was actually responsible for purchasing thousands (and sometimes millions) of dollars worth of ingredients for the plant. I also ran investigations on inventory if a surplus or shortage of a specific product was detected. Other responsibilities included paying of transportation invoices and finding competitive estimates on equipment such as forklifts and electric carts.
